G. Octave band measurements: If the noise protection officer finds that the frequency characteristics of the sound are such that the A scale specified in point 18.10.010 is not sufficient to protect the health, welfare or safety of the public, measurements of the sound pressure level of the octave band shall be made. 2. All other vehicles shall not exceed the noise emission levels or equipment standards authorized in accordance with SRO 340-35-030 (1) (a) and (c), three copies of which shall be deposited with the Office of the Municipal Auditor and accepted by reference. C. For the sole purpose of determining the permissible sound levels of motor vehicle racing, Portland International Raceway is considered an industrial land use area whose use was in service prior to January 1, 1977. Noise levels generated by any other use of Portland International Raceway must comply with the standards set out in 18.10.010 A., Figure 1. If fluctuations in the sound level include maxima at intervals of 1 second or less, this shall be considered continuous. (1) Leaf blowers operating in open-plan land use areas at a distance of 200 feet or more from the property line shall not exceed a sound level of 75 dBA according to the methodology of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), ANSI B175.2-2000. One. The noise levels determined are shown in Figure 1 before adjustments: D.
Non-compliant use: The maximum permissible sound level that may be emitted by a batch with non-conforming use shall be the same as that permitted for the most restrictive area in which the use would be compliant. B. When used in a residential unit between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., the sound levels generated by these devices must not exceed 60 dBA when measured at the loose line. 1 If daily noise exposure consists of two or more different periods of noise exposure, their combined effect and not the individual effect of each individual period should be taken into account. If the sum of the following fractions: C1/T1 + C2/T2Cn/Tn exceeds the unit, the mixed exposure shall be considered to exceed the limit value. Cn indicates the total duration of exposure to a given noise level, and Tn indicates the total duration of exposure allowed at that level. F. Pulse scintillation: Notwithstanding the sound level of this section, no person shall cause or permit the operation of an impulsive noise source with a peak sound pressure level greater than 100 dB during the day or 80 dB at night. Exposure to pulse or impact noise shall not exceed the maximum sound pressure level of 140 dB. 1.
Notwithstanding paragraph B above, the permissible sound levels in section 18.10.010 apply to pile drivers from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning and at 6 p.m. Friday until 8am the following Monday and public holidays. Notification to employees. The employer must inform any employee exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels or more of the monitoring results. E. The noise level generated by tools and equipment in the context of home employment must not exceed 50 dBA measured on the batch line. Exception for mobile test cars. When mobile test vehicles are used to fulfill the audiometric testing requirement, the employer must obtain a valid basic audiogram within 1 year of an employee`s first exposure to or above the trigger device. If the basic audiograms are obtained more than 6 months after the worker`s first exposure to a value equal to or greater than the action value, workers must wear hearing protection for more than six months after the first exposure until the basic audiogram is obtained. 2.
During all hours, the sound levels in Figure 1 shall be reduced by 5 dBA for narrowband or continuous sounds (applies only to 1). One. Maximum noise levels: No person may use the equipment or accessories for it in commercial construction activities greater than 85 dBA when measured 50 feet (15.2 metres) from the source. This standard does not apply to trucks (see section 18.10.020), pile drivers, road breakers, scrapers, concrete saws and hammer drills. 1. Not later than August 1, 2006, the noise protection officer shall draw up a list of leaf blowers not exceeding a sound level of 65 dBA at 50 feet. The noise protection agent list includes only sheet blowers that have been certified by an external testing laboratory according to the methodology of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), ANSI B175.2-2000. Thereafter, the noise reduction agent shall update the certified list at least once a year or when informed of the existence of other certified leaf blowers.
2. The use of the residential unit or noise-sensitive receiver is older than the use of the noise source. In this case, the permissible sound level, measured at the lot line of the residential unit or other noise-sensitive receiver, shall be 65 dBA in a commercial/mixed use area and 70 dBA in an employment or industrial area, each subject to the adjustments provided for in sections 18.10.010 B., F. and G. Figure G-9 equivalent sound level contours. The sound pressure levels of the octave band can be converted to an A-weighted equivalent sound level by representing them in this diagram and noting the A-weighted sound level corresponding to the highest penetration point of the sound level contours. This A-weighted equivalent sound level, which may differ from the actual A-weighted sound level, shall be used to determine the exposure limit values given in Table 1.G-16.
